SINGTAM,
DECEMBER 25: On the occasion of the first anniversary
of the Photographic Society of Sikkim (Singtam), a one-day free basic photography
workshop was conducted at Kidzee School, Singtam. Eighteen participants from nearby
places of Singtam and beyond had participated. Those included places like
Gangtok, Samdong, Rhenock, Kingstone, Ranipool, Singtam, Sang Khola, and others.

The photography
workshop had two sessions; indoor and outdoor. The indoor session had
talks and discussions on three topics viz. Basics of Photography, Brief
Introduction on Camera Insights and Night-Photography by Ujjwal Darjee, Sanket
Agarwal, and Roshan Rai respectively, all members of PSS. Outdoor photo-shoot
was held at the famed Rani-Khola river-side walkway and the premises of Kidzee
School.

Publicity In-charge, PSS was the host of the day while Milan Sharma, President,
PSS spoke about the activities performed by the society over the last year. Sharma added that it was on the occasion of the anniversary, the society
thought about conducting the free – workshop. He further thanked the participants
for making the workshop a success.
The certificate was distributed
among the participants towards the end of the program by Sishir Chettri, Advisor
of PSS, and Ashok Prasad, Joint Secretary, PSS. The workshop was valuable and
lots of knowledge was learned echoed the participants.
