PAKYONG, May 20: A case of unnatural death was registered at the Pakyong Police Station following oral report from one Doma Sherpa of Dugalakha on 18 May.
According to Pakyong police, husband of the complainant Sonam Sherpa (45) committed suicide by hanging from a tree. Police investigation revealed that the deceased was missing since 18 May morning and was reported of suffering from mental problems since 3 May. The body of the deceased was recovered at around 5 pm in a nearby jungle.
Later the dead body was sent to STNM Hospital for autopsy. On 19 May the body of the deceased was handed over to the legal relatives after autopsy. The case was said to have been registered under Section 174 of CrPC.
